Q: What if I need to miss a class? A: Excused absences must be requested from the Academic Office. Excused absences due to illness can be cleared with the school nurse or Resident Director.Q: I took several courses elsewhere—can I transfer them into my program at RBC? A: Students who are enrolled in a degree or certificate program at RBC may request a transfer of credit from other colleges. Requests must be made to the Academic Office. Your transcript from the previous college must be received and reviewed. Courses need a grade of C or higher to be eligible for transfer.Q: When will I receive my grade card? A: Grade cards are issued approximately 3 weeks after the end of the term of study. (Timing may vary due to circumstances.)Q: Will my exams/papers be returned to me? A: Final exams and assignments will be returned to students per the instructor’s policy. These will be placed in the students’ mailboxes the following study term. Students who are not returning to RBC and wish to receive these papers need to purchase a return envelope from the receptionist prior to the end of the term.Q: What is the difference between an official and an unoffical audit? A: Audits are typically taken as an overload for personal enrichment. Official audits require the student to read the text(s) and attend 85–90% of classes. These audits appear on the student's transcript. Unofficial audits include no requirements and do not appear on transcripts.![]() Q: Why doesn’t “Rosedale Chorus” or “Rosedale Chorale” show up on my course registration sheet? A: The Rosedale Chorus conducted during Fall Semester is an extracurricular activity which you will need to officially sign up for at the beginning of the semester. It will then be added to your schedule at that time. The Rosedale Chorale is a select group with auditions being held at the beginning of Winter Term. Once auditions have been held, the course will be added to each participants schedule. |
