K E N Y A C R O S S – C U L T U R A L T E R M
If you have interest in experiencing and understanding the people, the faith, the culture and land of the region where Christianity is growing the fastest, this Cross-Cultural Study Term is for you. You will spend almost six weeks in residence in Central Kenya, based out of the Christian Retreat Center of Regions Beyond Ministries near Thika. Weekend excursions will take students to various Mennonite church communities, where they will stay in local homes. A safari at the Nairobi Game Park is planned, and the term will conclude in the beautiful seacost resort town of Mombasa. Two courses will be offered at the Center, African Church in the Twenty-First Century, taught by Abraham Ndungu, who is also the coordinator for the study term, and Introduction to Missions, taught by Philip Mbatia, the principal of the RBM leadership school conducted at the Center at other times during the year.. Approximate costs for this international term of study (including airfare, meals, and lodging) are $2,000 above normal fees for tuition, room and board. RBC sophomores may qualify for a $2000 Cross-Cultural Grant to offset the cost of enrolling in this term. ![]() |
