RBC offers a variety of scholarships awarded on the basis of need, academic merit or student circumstances. A summary of those scholarships follows.

In order to be considered for these scholarships students need to complete the Virtual Financial Aid Office process as well as the Scholarship Eligibility Form. Printed copies of the form may be requested from the RBC office.

Scholarship distribution begins after May 1. The application period closes September 1.

Merit Scholarships

President’s Scholarship
Up to five awards of $1,000 per year for first–year students, awarded on the basis of SAT/ACT scores and an essay. The President's Scholarships have already been distributed for the 2010-11 school year.

Dean’s Scholarship
Up to eight awards of $1,000 per year for second–year students, based on first–year GPA. The Dean's Scholarships have already been distributed for the 2010-11 school year.

  • For students preparing for missionary service.
  • Jewish Evangelism Scholarship
  • —Up to $1,100. For students preparing to minister to Jewish people.
  • Michael & Margaretha Sattler Scholarship
  • —Up to $1000. For students preparing for missions and church planting.
  • Levi & Cora Miller Scholarship
  • For students pursuing missions as a course of study.
  • Shem & Salome Peachey Memorial Scholarship
  • For students from emerging congregations.
  • Foreign/Minority Scholarship
  • For international students or American minority students.

Christian Service Scholarships

RBC awards scholarships to several categories of students in recognition of their involvement in Christian service and missions.

  • Short Term Missions Scholarship
  • —Up to $1,000. For students who have served at least nine months with REACH, YES or other short-term missions and service programs. To qualify, students must begin their studies no later than 18 months after completing their service.
  • RMM Missionaries and Dependents Scholarship
  • —Up to $4500. For long-term missionaries serving with Rosedale Mennonite Missions, and for their dependent children.
  • CMC Ministers and Dependents
  • —Up to $3000. For active credentialed ministers within Conservative Mennonite Conference, full-time staff of RMM or CMC, and for their spouse and dependent children.
  • Christian Workers and Dependents
  • —Up to $1500. For active ministers, missionaries and service workers, and their dependent children, who do not qualify for CMC or RMM-related scholarships.

Miscellaneous Scholarships

RBC awards scholarships to several categories of students in recognition of their involvement in Christian service and missions.

  • International Student Scholarship
  • —50% of the cost of tuition and room and board. For non-North American students who come to RBC referred by an Anabaptist mission organization. Application for this scholarship must be initiated by the referring agency.
  • Senior Citizen Scholarship
  • —90% of the cost of tuition. For students 65 years old or older.
  • Congregational Giving Scholarship
  • —10% of the cost of tuition. For students from Conservative Mennonite Conference whose home congregation has contributed to the school the suggested per member amount in a given year.
  • Canadian Student Discount
  • Canadian students not eligible for U.S. federal aid will be able to pay their tuition, fees, and room and board at an even exchange rate. RBC awards a discount in the amount of the difference between U.S. and Canadian currencies, calculated on the basis of exchange rates at the beginning of each term of study.

Campus Employment

There are opportunities for students to work on campus in various capacities. Preference will be given to Federal Work Study students.
