Rosedale Bible College : LIFT : Worship

Hello,
There are few things in life that make me as excited as seeing youth participate in passionate worship or equipping youth to be effective leaders in their communities. So when I was asked to be the worship leader at LIFT I was thrilled. What better opportunity would I find to combine two things I'm so passionate about?

When I was 15, God began instilling in me these passions for youth and leading worship. So as soon as I graduated from high school, I headed to the SEND house in downtown Columbus, Ohio, where I worked with youth and led worship. That Fall I began classes at Rosedale Bible College (RBC) with the goal of attaining more leadership training and furthering my knowledge of the Bible, understanding that if I wanted to be an effective worship/youth leader I would need both. Taking a break from college, I joined the USA REACH team and toured for nine months across the US, performing music and dramas for youth. After completing another year at RBC I graduated with an associate degree in General Biblical Studies.

Through my time on the REACH team and at RBC, God affirmed to me that His calling on my life was to work with youth and lead worship. I then became the Director of Teen Ministries for Aim Right Ministries in Phoenix, Arizona for two years. During that time I worked with inner city teens and started a weekly worship and discipleship program called OUTLOUD, aimed at giving teens a hunger and thirst for worshiping our amazing God. After completing my two years in Phoenix, my wife, Emily, and I moved to Apple Creek, Ohio where I serve as a full time youth pastor and worship leader at Fairlawn Mennonite Church.

During my life I have had the privilege of being a part of the work that God is doing in changing this teenage generation into an unstoppable force for His kingdom. That is why I am so pumped about being a part of LIFT, for I believe that LIFT will be an incredible opportunity for youth to be equipped to become godly leaders who will lead this generation in being sold out for Christ!

I can't wait to see the amazing things that God will do at LIFT.
