Dean of Students — Chris Jones

Our vision and prayer for your time at RBC is that you will meet God in new and profound ways. As the Dean of Students my calling is to guide campus life in such a way that students experience RBC as a community of grace. Through God's grace, RBC is a place where you can grow in your joy in God and your passion for His Kingdom.

Life together on campus is both exciting and challenging. The classes will stretch you and prepare you to serve Christ in the world. Learning to live in community will strengthen you and at times challenge you. That is why "grace" is the operative word around the student life team. As we strive to live lives of holiness, purity, respect, and wise stewardship we want grace to season everything we do.

We are excited that you are considering our community as a place to lay a strong academic and spiritual foundation. I am convinced that while you study, serve, worship, pray and develop lifelong friends at RBC you will meet Christ and be transformed.

Rosedale has a Dean of Students and a Student Life Team because students come to be changed and to study. We exist to serve you, not the other way around. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call or e-mail me. Remember we are here for you.

Women’s Resident Director (RD) — Kimberly Miller

Surrounded by cornfields on every side I often feel out of place. I grew up among the hills and hollers of Eastern Kentucky and "flatness" was never something I understood until I came to Rosedale. I graduated from Riverside Christian School in 2006 and that fall, I ventured from my beautiful Kentucky home to the cornfields. I did not know what I would find here, but I knew God was calling me.

My first year at Rosedale was a life-changing experience. I became more rooted in my faith and found God in ways that I never had before. I was surrounded by friends who were awesome men and women of God and I found a lot of support in them. I was asked to come back the following year and join the RDA team as the resident assistant and I willingly and excitedly accepted the offer. God was continuously faithful in bringing about change in my life, even though I was not always expecting it. He never brought about change, however, without showing His love to me.

After graduating from Rosedale with an associate degree I continued to seek God's will for my life through REACH. I spent 3 defining months of training in Columbus and then in December of 2008 I, with my 5 teammates, left for Bangkok, Thailand to serve there until August of 2009. My time there was challenging and encouraging. I know that I learned a lot about myself, God, and the church, but a lot of that is still very foggy. I believe that God will be faithful, however, in revealing those lessons to me and I am excited to "relearn" them.

During my time in Thailand I was asked to join the RDA team as the resident director. After much prayer and counsel I willingly and excitedly accepted. I believe that God has once again brought me to this place to mold me more into a woman who seeks after Him and to guide others in that as well. I am ready and excited for what God has in store for me and the students at RBC!

Men’s Resident Director (RD) — Andrew Yoder

I am from the small town of Grantsville, which is in Western Maryland (about 4-5 hours from Rosedale). Out here in Ohio things are flat, but back home we have lots of mountains which I really love. I have to hand it to Ohio though . . . they have some awesome sunsets. I am from a family of nine, love them all! Seven kids of whom I am the third. I came to RBC in 06-07 and then went into REACH 07-08 and spent 6 months in Indonesia, and last year (08-09), I finished my degree at RBC. This year I am looking forward to being RD.

"O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus" penned by Samuel Trevor Francis is my new favorite song. I have many favorites, but it has climbed to the top of the charts and I think it will be there for some time. I have heard many people say that the reason they love music is because they can relate to the heart of the writer/musicians. I find myself relating well to what Samuel wrote and praying that I, that all of us, as his children will come to know more of the "deep, deep love of Jesus vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!"

Women’s Resident Assistant (RA) — Hannah Roberson

Hi, I am Hannah Roberson and I will be serving as the women s Resident Assistant this coming year. This is my second year at Rosedale and I am eagerly anticipating another year of fun and growth within the student body. My prayer is that you will experience the presence of God in a real and powerful way and that your time here at Rosedale will be life changing. When I m not at Rosedale, I live in the great state of Oklahoma! Go SOONERS! A random fact about me is that I strongly dislike a particularly popular dessert that everyone loves & ICE CREAM! I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you and growing together in Christ.

See ya soon!
