In many ways, "the Rosedale experience" is so much more than classroom education. Much thought and care goes into crafting an environment that helps our students work out how to know Christ and follow him in life. As our dean of students expressed it, "We love our students and we are committed to providing the care they need while they prepare to engage the church and the world."

To do this well, we will:

Increase spiritual mentoring support for women students. Hiring a woman to serve part-time as a spiritual mentor will greatly enhance our ministry to women students. She will work in cooperation with our women's Resident Director and Assistants, providing nurture, teaching, and direction in our women's dorm. The dean of students will provide the same mentoring support to the men, cooperating with the men's Resident Director and Resident Assistants.
Secure professional Christian counseling support. Developing a relationship with a Christian counseling firm will provide needed back-up to our student life personnel when they encounter mental health issues or counseling situations that require professional attention.
Increasing student life personnel. Adding more Residential Assistants in the dorms will strengthen our direction and guidance of students and create more opportunities for students to serve as peer leaders.
