Rosedale Bible College has a history of equipping young men and women for service. We want to do what we've always done, only do it better! Our goal is to provide students with experiences and training designed to develop practical ministry skills, preparing them to serve effectively in the church and in society. We also want to equip them to engage a lost and violent world with an active witness of hope, salvation and peace through Jesus Christ.

To achieve this, we will:

  1. Enhance ministry formation. We will develop the current Christian service component at RBC into a ministry learning/mentorship opportunity; students will focus on one ministry placement each semester, under the oversight of the dean of students.

  2. Develop new academic concentrations. Expanding academic offerings will:
    1. Augment learning opportunities related to ministry and professional training.
    2. Allow students to transfer more credits into their intended major and four–year institutions.
    3. Increase enrollment by broadening the base of our potential student body.
In the fall of 2007, RBC will supplement its biblical studies degree with three new areas of concentration in addition to the six already offered. Further concentrations are slated for the following years as growth and resources allow. We will also strengthen transfer potential by developing articulation agreements with other colleges and universities, making it possible for them to seamlessly accept RBC graduates into their academic programs. New concentrations planned for 2007 are:
    • Youth Ministries
    • Education
    • Business

  3. Strengthen international experience programs. Christ's kingdom transcends national boundaries. We will increase the element of international experience built into a Rosedale education in the following ways:
    • Strengthen the academic interface between an RBC education and Rosedale Mennonite Missions' short-term programs, more deliberately incorporating a discipleship-training component into a well-rounded RBC education.
    • Offer an annual end-of-year overseas educational trip (for credit) — such as our Celtic/C.S. Lewis Tour or our European/Anabaptist History trip.
    • Develop a cross-cultural educational experience, based in a Spanish-speaking county, by the 2007–2008 school year.
    • Continue support for the Kenyan extension program, a cooperative exchange of faculty between RBC and two Kenyan Bible institutes.
    • Offer Spanish language study at Rosedale Bible College.
